Green Giant and Corn Kid get excited about Thanksgiving side dish

While many people talk about stuffing, cranberries, or even mashed potatoes, a side dish may not hold the excitement when brought to the table. Earlier this year, Tariq, aka Corn Kid, showed everyone that corn should be a star. This holiday, Green Giant is putting the sometimes-forgotten side dish of Thanksgiving center stage.

Many people have certain Thanksgiving food traditions. It’s more that people wonder if there are more sides than turkey on a plate or if a sweet potato should be served with marshmallows. The party seems to make people passionate about food.

Earlier this year, Tariq, Corn Kid, got everyone talking because his love of corn was genuine. This simple pleasure of eating an ear of corn was clear. In some ways, this enthusiasm has caused many people to think differently about the different types of food they enjoy. Along the way, it was time to rediscover the humble corn and how really good it can be.

For Thanksgiving, Green Giant is teaming up with Corn Kid. Along with sharing two recipes, Corn Kid’s Corniest Mac ‘n’ Cheese and Corn Kid’s Corn Casserole, the collaboration will celebrate giving back this season. Green Giant will donate “90,000 cans of Green Giant vegetables, including 50,000 cans of corn, are enough for more than 270,000 other Corn Kid New Yorkers to enjoy a serving of vegetables this holiday season.”

As Kristen Thompson, Senior Vice President and President, Frozen & Vegetables, B&G Foods said, “We are so excited to partner with the Corn Kid this Thanksgiving because his enthusiasm for corn rivals that of the green giant himself. same. Corn Kid has a giant heart and we’re thrilled to help him share his love of corn with his community this Thanksgiving with a huge donation of our canned vegetables.
