*NEW* Grilled Vegetable Bruschetta with Pickled Peppers, Zucchini, Squash, Artichokes, Goat Cheese and Balsamic Glaze on Toasted Ciabatta – $5
This is served cold on toasted French bread. The menu says “ciabatta” but it looked like French bread to us.
You can taste every flavor in every bite. However, it could use a little more salt.
The goat cheese was a great addition and goes perfectly with the vegetables. We would have liked more.
The balsamic glaze adds a touch of sweetness.
For $5, it’s a great snack to start your loop around the Flower & Garden Festival booths.
Herb-Crusted Spring Lamb served with Marbled Potatoes, Spring Vegetables, and Red Wine Butter Sauce – $7.75
It was another winner. The lamb cut easily with the plastic knife and was seasoned so well without detracting from the very nice flavor of meat.
The vegetables and potatoes alongside were very well prepared. They weren’t mushy and also flavored really well.
All in all, it was a really tasty and superb dish. Meat lovers will especially want this one. It is worth coming back.
Strawberry Rhubarb Upside-Down Cake served with Crème Fraîche Whipped Cream – $4.75
This dessert was very fruity, pie-like, but still very good. The cake was very moist, but that wasn’t a bad thing.
You could taste the rhubarb, which was subtle and complimented the strawberry nicely.
Although the white dollop next to the cake may look like ice cream, it is actually fresh whipped cream. That was delicious! The whole dish was amazing and completed a trio of rather impressive items.
