West Palm Beach Summer Restaurant Deals, Kids Eat Free

Summer restaurant specials have started to arrive. Soon they will become a shower of offers, and in this age of sticker shock, that’s a welcome thing.

Here is a range of summer promotions to know, from north to south of the county.

Cod and Capers

The Summer Seafood Party at Cod and Capers in North Palm Beach. The family seafood market/café popular for its seasonal selection of stone crabs and other fresh catch options offers new summer offerings Wednesdays and Thursdays in the cafe from 4-8pm. They include half price bottles of wine, $2 oysters or clams. and other specials.

Avocado canteen

Avocado Cantina’s summer happy hour. This Yucatan-inspired canteen has introduced a new happy hour for summer weeknights. Offered throughout the restaurant from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, happy hour drink deals include $5 house margaritas, $25 margarita pitchers, and $4 draft beers. There are a variety of $4 happy hour tacos for pairing – from carne asada with chimichurri to spicy chicken with queso blanco to grilled fish with ají amarillo and avocado to vegetarian tacos. Add to that an assortment of $5 bar bites and the choice is yours.

Kitchen

The two locations in Kitchen (West Palm and Palm Beach Gardens) offer a fixed price summer offer.

The summer fixed price of the kitchen. Both locations of chef Matthew Byrne’s Kitchen restaurant (West Palm Beach and Palm Beach Gardens) offer a $45 summer menu.

The three-course dinner begins with a choice of three starters (including house-smoked salmon with potato latke, arugula and lemon curd). For their main course, diners have a choice of four options (such as Byrne’s “Simple Chicken” with truffle mashed potatoes and garlic spinach). And there’s a choice of chocolate pie or strawberry shortcake for dessert — or they can order a slice of Byrne’s famous coconut cake for an extra $5. Vegetarian options are also offered.

An additional $10 buys you a glass of prosecco or white or red wine.

LoLa 41

Sushi Sundays at LoLa 41. The Palm Beach Bistro just launched a summer special featuring BOGO-free sushi rolls from 5-10 p.m. on Sundays. The offer includes classic rolls like the Honshu (tuna, cucumber, avocado, topped with hamachi and poke sauce) and specialty rolls like the Yutaka (barbecue eel, king crab, avocado, crispy tempura pieces). Rolls usually cost between $12 and $31.

There’s also a brand new happy hour at LoLa, offered at the bar daily from 4-6 p.m. Half price drinks and $10 small plates and sushi are served. The $10 bites include Cantonese pork potstickers, skirt steak tacos and duck buns.

Almond palm beach

Almond’s summer price fixes. This Palm Beach restaurant, originally from New York, offers special three-course lunch and dinner menus.

At lunch, the $25 prix fixe menu offers three entree options (such as a small nugget lettuce salad with grilled corn, smoked bacon, avocado, and a 10-minute egg), three entree options starter (including tacos of the day) and dessert (choice of ice cream and sorbet). At dinner, entrees from the $45 menu include steamed mussels with shallots, garlic, and white wine. Entree options include steamed mahi with banana leaves and coconut curry. And there is also dessert (ice cream, sorbet).

During the summer, Almond serves lunch and dinner Wednesday through Friday, brunch and dinner on Saturday, and brunch only on Sunday.

Avalon Steak and Seafood

Delray Beach's Avalon Restaurant offers a prix-fixe summer menu.

A summery “taste of Avalon”. This year-old downtown Delray Beach restaurant launched a $65 prix-fixe menu for early diners.

Avalon’s three-course menu includes three entree options (like in Angry Lobster Tagliatelle), three entree options (like a 7-ounce NY strip with fingerling potatoes, tricolor carrots, and wine sauce) and a choice of dessert (including a flourless chocolate torte with caramel sauce). Vegetarian options are also offered.

The “Taste of Avalon” menu is available from 5-7 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 5-9 p.m. Sunday.

At Burt and Max’s

The no-meal deal for Burt and Max’s kids. Part of Burt Rapoport’s group of restaurants, suburban restaurant Delray offers a free meal for kids 12 and under with the purchase of an adult main course. The special runs from Monday to Wednesday. For older children, Burt and Max offer “Wines-Days” from Sunday to Thursday, where you get bottles of wine (excluding Champagne) at half price with the purchase of an entry.

Pagoda kitchen

Pagoda Kitchen’s new early catering offer. Sister restaurant and neighbor to Burt and Max’s, this three-month-old Chinese-inspired eatery just launched an $18.95 early bird special that includes an entrée, soup or salad, egg roll and a soft drink, tea or coffee. The offer is available from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and from 4:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Pagoda also has a special bar Sunday through Thursday — get all-night happy hour pricing at the indoor bar when you make a food purchase of $20 or more, per customer.

Burt and Max’s and Pagoda Kitchen are located at the Delray Marketplace, 14851 Lyons Road (on West Atlantic Avenue), in suburban Delray Beach. Offers are good until September 30.

Corvina Seafood Grills

Corvina’s summer specials. This Boca Raton seafood-loving restaurant has launched a weekly specials list.

Sundays belong to half-price bottles of wine ($100 bottles or less) with the purchase of a main course. On Martini Mondays, you get half-price martinis if you dine there. Tuesdays, of course, are for all-night taco deals ($9 fish tacos, $5 margaritas). On Hump Day Wednesdays, happy hour is late, 4-9 p.m. Thursdays are half-price oysters per half-dozen.

Corvina has also extended its happy hour (which starts at 4 p.m. all week) by half an hour on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, until 7 p.m. On Friday and Saturday, happy hour offers are offered as usual until 6:30 p.m.

Corvina happy hour specials are available at the indoor/outdoor bar. They include a well-priced menu offering nine dishes for $9.
